“Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and… he was buried, and… he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

The Gospel Is Good News
This is the Gospel:
- Christ died for your sins
- He was buried
- He rose again the third day
But before the good news makes sense, you must understand the bad news
The Bad News: We Are All Sinners
God is holy (1 Peter 1:16), and His standard is perfect. Just one sin makes us guilty (James 2:10). And the truth is—we’ve all sinned.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
— Romans 3:23
We are sinners by birth, by nature, by deed, and by choice (Psalm 58:3; Jeremiah 17:9; James 4:17; John 3:19). Even our “good works” fall short:
“All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.”
— Isaiah 64:6
Sin has a cost. It brings spiritual death, physical death, and eternal death—separation from God forever.
“The wages of sin is death.”
— Romans 6:23

The Good News: Christ Died For You
Though we deserve judgment, God loves us. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8
Jesus lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22) and became your substitute on the cross. He bore your sins and paid the debt in full.
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree.”
— 1 Peter 2:24
His death is the only payment God accepts;(Hebrews 9:22). It is through His sacrifice, forgiveness our our sin is possible.

The Victory: Christ Rose Again
Jesus didn’t stay in the grave—He rose again!
“He was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”
— Romans 4:25
His resurrection proves the payment was accepted. You can be forgiven, justified, and have peace with God (Romans 5:1).
Because He rose again, He is alive, and desires to save you, and have a relationship with you!

What Must I Do To Be Saved?
Salvation is not earned—it is a gift.
“The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
— Romans 6:23
To truly believe the Gospel means more than just agreeing with the facts—it requires repentance and faith from your heart.

Repentance: Turning to God from sin
Repentance is more than just feeling sorry for sin—it’s a change of heart. It means turning to God from our sin.
Jesus said, “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).
Right now, you may be walking the broad path that leads to destruction (Matt.7:13), but God, in His mercy, calls you to turn to Him in humility and faith. Repentance is not about what you're leaving behind—it's about Who you are turning to.

Faith: Trusting Jesus Only
Faith is believing God and acting on what He says. It’s trusting that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, rose again, and is the only way to be saved.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth” (Romans 1:16).
Salvation is not earned—it is received through faith. The Bible says:
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
—Romans 10:9–10
To confess with your mouth means to agree with the Lord Jesus Christ on who He says He is, and what He has done, acknowledging Him as your Lord and Savior.

If you’re ready to turn from sin and turn to God—to trust Jesus Christ alone for salvation—He promises to save you. will you call on Him today?
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
—Romans 10:13
